The game is halted for The athletic Rosario, dressed only in socks and cleats, runs into the outfield to the stadium sound of Oooooh , neither a boo nor a cheer. Rosario eludes security easily, running here and there in the outfield to do calisthenics, fake dramatic slow-motion home run swings, and short sprints away from the stadium personnel when necessary.
Contrary to policy, the network broadcasts the whole thing live on television. Finally, after 14 minutes, Rosario sprints to the fence. He climbs over and disappears through the service tunnel.
After some headshaking and regrouping, the game resumes. Atlanta rallies. Atlanta comes back to win Game 7 to go on to the World Series. It wasn't until the outfield assist bullet point that I realized it was Friday and who wrote the article. Great job as always. Who cares? I think this has been the highlight of our season. Which Twins players should be discussing? All the ones that mattered to me are gone or on their way out. Except for Buxton, Polanco and Kepler many of our players did not play the majority of the season and I would not know them if I were sitting next to them.
If you love baseball this is the kind of story we love. No way to know how things will end with Eddie but if the tiger doesn't change his stripes then I have to believe it ends with a massive Eddie mistake at some point and slump to follow. I wish him nothing but the best but I think his flaws are his flaws and strengths are his strengths. The past two years he hasn't been that good so it seems like the shooting star that he is, is likely to fade out at any point now. Hopefully he keeps his hot streak going through the WS.
What a wasted article Eddie is just like every other hitter. He is on a great streak right now and will cool off- maybe even in the next 2 games- but has helped to get the Braves this far so feel good for him. We wouldn't have done much better had we kept him so nobody should feel bad for us giving him up. I like Eddie compared to some of what we have had but we didn't have the money to pay him. I would have to beg to differ on a couple of counts. Eddie led the Twins in RBI's in '19 and ' He had 46 in 78 games for Cleveland, even with some injuries.
From an offensive production standpoint, how does that compare to our revolving door in left field this year and who knows how much longer? As for defense, no one we put out there this year was any better there, either. As for money, we had it, we just didn't want to spend it after losing our shirt in '20, so we took the chance one of our up and comers would win the job and run with it.
Same theory as signing Shoe and Happ; cheaper than upper level pitching and hoping for come back years. Not tendering Eddie was a financial move to be sure, but not a very good one. Even in a semi off year and moving around, he still had a positive WAR in both places. The 8 mil would have been worth it. The hole that is there now is a self induced wound. An outfield assist goes horribly wrong.
Eddie fields the liner on one hop, winds up, misses the cutoff man, misses the catcher, misses the entire stadium, sails the ball into traffic, hits a city bus, sends the bus into a transformer, causes a chain reaction power outage that exposes dire flaws in the Atlanta electrical grid, sends entire region into chaos and vandalism, Atlanta reverts to subsistence farming and bartering with a collection of feudal lords clashing over control of the humid land.
Dodgers advance due to forfeit. Eddie Rosario, in left field for the expansion Las Vegas Gamblers in , scrambling with his walker to a roller down the line…. Over throws the cutoff man and manages to gun down a potential inside the park home run… Immediately dies of a heart attack as he lets the ball go with a smile on his face. The Experience lives on.
About as hot as you can get. Twins made a mistake here. Truth really is stranger than fiction. Anime News Nina! Industry Comments. Login or Register forgot it? Forum - View topic. In the final episode of Please Twins! In those scenes, Miina approaches Maiku without looking at him with a note in Japanese that says "I plead to the fifth. I don't know what Miina is referring to of "I plead the fifth" because it is impossible for me to know her purpose of the note.
Some explanation will help. Thanks for the post though, I meant to check the actual meaning of Miina's note the first time I watched Please Twins! Joined: 27 Jun Posts: I still have the DVD and I still remember that part.
Just don't know why Miina had to be like that for the final episode, that's all. To form identical twins, one fertilised egg ovum splits and develops two babies with exactly the same genetic information. This differs from fraternal twins, where two eggs ova are fertilised by two sperm and produce two genetically unique children, who are no more alike than individual siblings born at different times. Twins are more or less equally likely to be female or male.
Factors that increase the odds of having twins Some women are more likely than others to give birth to twins. The factors that increase the odds include: Advancing age of the mother — women in their 30s and 40s have higher levels of the sex hormone oestrogen than younger women, which means that their ovaries are stimulated to produce more than one egg at a time.
Number of previous pregnancies — the greater the number of pregnancies a woman has already had, the higher her odds of conceiving twins. Heredity — a woman is more likely to conceive fraternal twins if she is a fraternal twin, has already had fraternal twins, or has siblings who are fraternal twins.
Race — Black African women have the highest incidence of twins, while Asian women have the lowest. Assisted reproductive techniques — many procedures rely on stimulating the ovaries with fertility drugs to produce eggs and, often, several eggs are released per ovulation. Fertilisation Hormones secreted by the ovaries, and a small gland in the brain called the pituitary, control the menstrual cycle. The average cycle is around 28 days. After a menstrual period, rising levels of the hormone oestrogen help to thicken the lining of the womb the endometrium and release an egg from one of the ovaries ovulation.
If the egg is fertilised on its journey down the fallopian tube, it lodges in the thickened womb lining, starts dividing and evolves into an embryo. This occurs because the fertilised egg divides in two while it is still a tiny collection of cells. The self-contained halves then develop into two babies, with exactly the same genetic information. The biological mechanisms that prompt the single fertilised egg to split in two remain a mystery. Approximately one quarter of identical twins are mirror images of each other, which means the right side of one child matches the left side of their twin.
This means that the left side of one twin exactly matches the right side of the other. How amazing is that! Although identical twins share the same DNA and genetic coding, they are still unique little individuals. Small differences separate them and although at birth they can appear like little clones of each other, they are far from it. As identical twins grow, their unique qualities particularly in relation to their personalities become more apparent.
The environment in which they are raised as well as their own personalities help to shape the adults they will become. This is exactly the same as any other baby born the world over.
Because the splitting of the zygote occurs so early in pregnancy, mothers are not initially aware they have conceived with twins. Even at birth it can be difficult to be sure if twins are identical or non-identical.
Identical twins can still be born with their own set of membranes and this is not a marker for them to be non-identical. This is painless and non-invasive.
